A historic garden estate in Redlands, California — built in 1890 by a citrus grower and cultivated for over a century into something that cannot quite be replicated. Mature orange trees, fragrant blossoms, and layered greenery define the landscape, creating an atmosphere that shifts beautifully with the seasons and flatters every wedding aesthetic.

The estate's dedicated wedding environment, The Orangery, carries couples and their guests seamlessly from ceremony to reception through a series of distinct, intentionally designed spaces — each with its own character, all connected by the living garden that surrounds them.

CEREMONY

At the heart of The Orangery is a wrought-iron gazebo set within the citrus garden; a timeless architectural centerpiece with a patina that speaks to age and permanence. Ceremonies unfold beneath an open sky, with guests seated inside the garden itself, surrounded by the sounds and fragrance of orange blossoms. The effect is one of immersion rather than observation.

COCKTAIL HOUR

From the ceremony, guests move naturally into the open-air plaza — a lattice-detailed, garden-enclosed space with a soft water feature and dappled afternoon light. Designed for lingering, it invites unhurried conversation, refilled glasses, and the quiet moments that don't make the formal photographs but are somehow remembered most vividly.

RECEPTION

The Looking Glass Pavilion is the estate's most immersive space — a glasshouse-style reception venue where structural glass and steel blur the boundary between interior and exterior. Candlelight doubles in the panes, the surrounding garden presses close after dark, and the fading sky transitions from amber to indigo just beyond the glass. It is a space with aesthetic opinions, and those opinions are impeccable.
