Historic Garden Estate
Looking Glass Pavilion
Citrus Grove
Edwards Mansion by Wedgewood Weddings is a historic garden estate built in 1890, set among century-old citrus groves in Redlands, California. The Orangery guides couples through a wrought-iron gazebo ceremony, an open-air cocktail plaza, and a glasshouse reception space. This stunning space offers Southern California couples a venue with genuine history and beauty.
A historic garden estate in Redlands, California — built in 1890 by a citrus grower and cultivated for over a century into something that cannot quite be replicated. Mature orange trees, fragrant blossoms, and layered greenery define the landscape, creating an atmosphere that shifts beautifully with the seasons and flatters every wedding aesthetic.
The estate's dedicated wedding environment, The Orangery, carries couples and their guests seamlessly from ceremony to reception through a series of distinct, intentionally designed spaces — each with its own character, all connected by the living garden that surrounds them.
At the heart of The Orangery is a wrought-iron gazebo set within the citrus garden; a timeless architectural centerpiece with a patina that speaks to age and permanence. Ceremonies unfold beneath an open sky, with guests seated inside the garden itself, surrounded by the sounds and fragrance of orange blossoms. The effect is one of immersion rather than observation.
From the ceremony, guests move naturally into the open-air plaza — a lattice-detailed, garden-enclosed space with a soft water feature and dappled afternoon light. Designed for lingering, it invites unhurried conversation, refilled glasses, and the quiet moments that don't make the formal photographs but are somehow remembered most vividly.
The Looking Glass Pavilion is the estate's most immersive space — a glasshouse-style reception venue where structural glass and steel blur the boundary between interior and exterior. Candlelight doubles in the panes, the surrounding garden presses close after dark, and the fading sky transitions from amber to indigo just beyond the glass. It is a space with aesthetic opinions, and those opinions are impeccable.
Two distinct suites offer couples and their wedding parties a considered beginning. The Ivy Suite is verdant and serene — walls traced with creeping green, soft natural light, and an interior that asks nothing except that you take your time. The Amber Den is warm and intimate, with burnished tones that create an atmosphere of easy confidence. Together, they offer a start to the day that feels composed rather than chaotic.
Redlands is one of Southern California's best-kept secrets. Stroll the historic district along Cajon Street, visit Kimberly Crest House and Gardens, or explore the Lincoln Memorial Shrine. The San Bernardino County Museum is just steps from the estate. For the outdoors, the San Bernardino National Forest offers scenic drives and trails, while Temecula Valley wine country — with over 40 wineries — is an easy drive south. Downtown Redlands rewards wandering, with independent restaurants, boutique shops, and the Redlands Bowl, home to America's longest-running free outdoor concert series.
Edwards Mansion is located at 2064 Orange Tree Lane in Redlands, California, just off the I-10 freeway — approximately one hour east of Los Angeles and 45 minutes from Palm Springs. The venue is accessible from the greater Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside areas. Nearby accommodations include the Ayres Hotel Redlands and Residence Inn by Marriott Loma Linda Redlands.
