The Log Cabin at the Presidio is an epic country-style lodge made from local Monterey cypress timber, nestled in San Francisco's Presidio Park within the Fort Scott Campus along the Presidio's western shore, not far from the Golden Gate Bridge, this rustic cabin is ideal for wedding celebrations. Feel cozy indoors or step out to the generous lawn with panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline.

The Log Cabin is a unique wedding location in the heart of the Presidio National Park. While only moments from the big city, you'll feel transported back in time to when soldiers joyfully caroused at this fortified military settlement. While the army is long gone, the good times remain. The nearby Fort Scott Barracks is one of the earliest examples of the Mission Revival architectural style and an excellent opportunity for striking photos, as is the historic parade ground with an expansive lawn and native landscaping. The Fort Scott area covers 30 acres.

Built in 1937, the Log Cabin has been exposed to the famous San Francisco weather for nearly a century. The Presidio Trust carpenters and conservators meticulously maintain it. The interior and exterior timbers are local Monterey Cypress first planted when the US Army settled here centuries ago. This is the only building of its type at the Presidio, and the building type is increasingly rare throughout the country. You'll love the Log Cabin natural lawn with views of the renowned Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Financial District skyline. The 1,500-acre Presidio Park contains expansive open space, spectacular views, a 300-acre historic forest, and rare and endangered plants and wildlife. It also comprises 469 historic structures that contribute to its status as a National Historic Landmark District.

The Log Cabin is unique. It sits right at the Golden Gate. The inside layout has the dancefloor in the middle of the room, walls creating corridors along the sides and a half-circle floor layout for seating. We ended up putting dining tables on the dancefloor so we could get the banquet-style seating that we wanted, which worked well for our 105-guest wedding. It was a nice touch that we could use the beautiful fireplace. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Log Cabin and our guests did too!

Our pricing is based on four areas. First, you decide on your package level and multiply it by the number of guests. Next, you add the ceremony and venue price, which varies depending on the season and day of the week you're considering. Finally, you'll add your admin fee and state tax. As you can see, we include all the big-ticket items like the venue, the décor, and the catering so your wedding budget can work harder.
