When Sienna and Brandon were married at Aliso Viejo by Wedgewood Weddings this April, we knew the event would be newsworthy! Their inherent style and panache were always going to combine for a beautiful event. The simple yet exquisite décor chosen for the outdoor fireside ceremony and great hall reception were the pinnacle of good taste.
This beautiful couple created a treat for their guests by engaging all the senses: from the incredible scenic views at the outside ceremony site surrounded by stonework, to the music from DJ Kevin and the welcome table featuring a record player and sign saying ‘thank you for making music with us’, to the decadent menu and extraordinary desert table, through to the entertaining dancing by Kevin and his groomsmen.
Sierra and Brandon were joined by their wedding party at the onsite get-ready suites where they enjoyed precious moments of reflection and anticipation ahead of their vows. By opting to forgo the first look, they set eyes upon each other as Sierra walked down the aisle with a huge smile that was met by Brandon’s happy grin!
After the vows, guests mingled on the patio around bright fire pits and enjoyed a selection of Brandon and Sierra’s favorite appetizers including Balsamic & Strawberry Crostini, Roma Tomato, and Fresh Basil Bruschetta, Smoked Salmon Canapes, Mac & Cheese Panko Croquettes, Mini Crab Cakes with Spicy Remoulade and the perennial favorite Chicken and Waffles with Bourbon Syrup.
As the couple entered the grand hall as Mr. and Mrs., the décor was beautifully understated with full-length ivory linens accentuated with an arrangement of white hydrangeas, white roses, and fresh silver dollar eucalyptus. Brandon and Sierra are lucky in love and lucky in many other ways – having won our Aliso Viejo wedding Fair raffle and electing to add beautiful charger plates to their table settings. This gold accent paired with gold table numbers, gold Chiavari chairs, and traditional almond favors created a look that was equal parts tradition and splendor. With just under a hundred guests, the couple was surrounded by friends and family with smiles that lasted for days!
Choosing the Premier Wedding Package, this duo wanted their guests to have the best of food and drink as they celebrated. A buffet with a carving station allowed guests to mingle and enjoy, with many heading back for extras before settling down to heartfelt speeches. Everyone enjoyed Oven Roasted Salmon with Tarragon Butter, Five Cheese Tortellini with Pesto Parmesan, plus Carved Roast Beef Au Jus and all served alongside scalloped potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Speeches from Sierra’s Parents, Brooke - the Maid of Honor, Jacob - Brandon’s Best Man, and the grooms’ parents were celebrated with a champagne toast.
With food a focal point, Sierra and Brandon added a S’mores bar for extra decadence. And guests were treated to classic Graham crackers, marshmallows, and Hershey chocolate. For signature cocktails this couple went with the classics: Brandon opted for Long Island Iced Tea, while Sierra chose an Old Fashioned.
Let’s raise a glass for Brandon and Sierra, a beautiful couple who deserve every happiness!
