When Ally and Calvin got engaged, they jumped right into the wedding planning excitement. On the hunt for a venue that fit their needs and aesthetic dreams, they knew they wanted an all-inclusive venue. Ally and Calvin wanted an expert team and cohesive plan to put their minds at ease. They knew that if their vendors were frequent partners and familiar with their venue of choice, they were more likely to be reliable and able to execute flawlessly. 

After researching several Wedgewood Weddings venues in the San Jose area, including Eagle Ridge, Ally and Calvin knew that Boulder Ridge was the one! Its proximity to the city was ideal for the guests that were flying in for the wedding, and its sweeping 360-degree views are simply unmatched.

They made the process so easy, and it was great working with the team at Boulder Ridge. They have three options: classic, premier, and elite. We chose the premier since it had most things that we needed. Once we signed the contract, we were gifted with a complete wedding planner outlining everything we could possibly need for planning our wedding!

Pastels are the perfect color scheme for a Spring wedding, especially in Northern California, and this wedding literally takes the cake for tasteful chic style! The floral decor of peach and lavender perfectly complemented the neutral table linens and decorative accents. The trees lining the venue courtyard were just beginning to bloom, offering the prettiest pink buds perfect for photos.

Adding yet another dramatic twist to this wedding story, the forecast called for rain on Ally and Calvin's wedding day! Thankfully, we always have a backup plan for changes in the weather, and Boulder Ridge has the most beautiful indoor ceremony site surrounded by wood accents and expansive windows. We moved the ceremony indoors, adjusted the floor plan to accommodate the adjusted floor plan, and the incredibly talented photography team (Akiko Liu Photos and Corinna Rose Photography) used transparent umbrellas to create stunning bridal portraits in the rain!

One of the features we liked the most for our guests was the valet parking! The venue shuttled our guests with golf carts which was especially lovely because of the unexpected rain!

Spring Weddings Are Extra Romantic in Northern California

This turned out to be the perfect intimate wedding complete with tear-filled vows, loving guests, traditional wedding games, and dancing of course! The sound of rain was incredibly soothing and the crystal white skies made the rolling hills surrounding the venue extra beautiful.

The newlyweds chose the premier wedding package for their celebration and added a few must-haves that they loved! To add to their ambiance, they included accent lighting with shades of purple. For a fun late-night snack, they chose a tater-tot bar which was a crowd favorite!
