The price of your wedding depends on a variety of factors, such as:
- Will you wed your beloved on a Tuesday or a Saturday? (A Tuesday would be much cheaper.)
- How many guests will you invite? (When your guest count goes up, so does the price.)
- Which of our packages will you choose, and how will you customize it? (The price depends on the services you want to include.)
- What we can say is that we’ve done $2,000 weddings and we’ve done $50,000 weddings—it all depends on your desires and your budget.
Our available dates are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. We’d love for you to schedule an appointment to come to your perfect venue, and we can help you select your perfect date—which we will absolutely hold for you once you make your first payment: the space reservation.
Your first payment will be 25% of the estimated total on your contract. We accept checks, credit cards or money orders. You can make the payment in person during your site visit, by mail or over the phone. Never fear! All payments you make are credited to your final balance.
Your second payment is another 25% and is due 120 days before your wedding date. Your final payment is based on your final headcount, which are both due 10 days prior to your special day (credit cards, money orders or certified checks please—personal checks are only acceptable for the two previous payments).
Space reservation fees and all payments made, regardless of due date, are non-transferable and non-refundable if you cancel the function. If the event is cancelled within 45 days of the date, the full amount of all estimated charges will be due to Wedgewood.
Service Charge is a 21%-22% fee charged on all Wedgewood services. Service charge is an industry standard (almost every venue you will see during your comparison shopping will charge an 18%-22% service charge). Your contract will show a breakdown of the event elements and their costs, including the service charge, which covers the costs of Wedgewood’s investment of time to prepare for and staff your event. Gratuities (tips) are not included, and are voluntary.
Some venues require a ‘guest minimum’; some venues require a ‘food and beverage’ minimum; Wedgewood has a ‘revenue minimum’. The revenue minimum is a certain dollar amount (before tax and service charge) that you commit to spend. Because it is a ‘revenue minimum’ it includes all services - not just food and beverage. The revenue minimum varies based on the venue you choose, the day of the week and the time of year. Short-term, off-season, and mid-week events have the lowest minimums. When you book your wedding you lock in your minimum – it will not go up after the fact. When you come in for a consultation your proposal (or proposals) will have the minimum for the date (or dates) you are considering listed at the top.
We totally get that your guest count may fluctuate in the weeks before your special day, so we don’t need to know your final count until 10 days before your event—the same time your final payment is due (your minimum guaranteed final guest count will influence your final cost).
If your final count suddenly increases less than 10 days before your event, let us know immediately so we can make the necessary adjustments to accommodations and to avoid extra charges on your contract. If your guest count goes down, you will still be held to your previous final guest count price.
Children aged three and under are free, but we still need to know how many are coming for seating purposes. Anyone in attendance who is under the age of 21 will have a price discount that ranges from $2-$20 per person depending on the package you choose.
Yes, we carry our own liability insurance policy.
If you plan on including a hosted bar in your package, and you invite a large number of guests, we will require security services for safety purposes. You will be made aware of any security fees that must be added to continue with your desired package.
You get five hours from start to finish—a perfect amount of time for a ceremony, cocktail hour and reception! If you would like to add additional time, you absolutely can—just ask your wedding coordinator for pricing.
You’ll have your very own Wedgewood banquet captain to manage your event. He or she will be available to you for the entirety of your wedding to ensure everything goes exactly as you planned!
Sure! We love when couples bring in personal touches and DIY projects—just make sure you run everything you plan to use by your wedding coordinator to ensure all elements are Wedgewood-approved. (For example, please don’t bring confetti or devices that create open flame.) We can even advise you about what sort of décor would work well with your vision and theme!
Each Wedgewood property possesses unique and breathtaking photography backdrops! Our photography vendors are very familiar with these areas and can capture the perfect shots. If you use an outside photographer, please ask them to check with your banquet captain to make sure they steer clear of the restricted areas for safety reasons.
Don’t freak out—booking with Wedgewood means wedding planning without the stress! The first thing we do is walk you through your very own Wedding Guide, a planning binder that will keep you organized and on track until the day you say I do. We also set up two formal meetings to make sure we review your event start to finish—giving you complete peace of mind.
During your site visit, we’ll build your perfect wedding package. We’ll start with one of the five base packages closest to your desires, and then customize it however you’d like! We can add or remove any services, just keep in mind every change will impact the overall price. Try to decide on exactly what you want during your site visit, as it might be more difficult to make changes as we get closer to your wedding date.
The beauty of working with Wedgewood is we’re all inclusive—this means you can book your florist, baker, invitations, DJ, photographer, etc. all through us! When you use Wedgewood’s trusted vendors, you’re guaranteed quality and professionalism. Just contact them to discuss your design ideas so you’ll get exactly what you want!
Absolutely! You can remove services from your package and bring in an outside vendor of your choice (with the exception of food and beverage at most Wedgewood venues); you just can’t keep a service in your package and use your own vendor for Wedgewood’s price. Just keep in mind that we have already done the legwork and negotiating with our vendors on your behalf to get you the best value in our packages.
You can definitely have access to Wedgewood an hour before your event. Anything earlier than that is based on availability.
We provide one microphone and a projection screen. You can rent or bring your own additional equipment if you’d like, or ask your DJ about what he or she can bring along!
When Wedgewood hosts your event, you get to treat your guests to Wedgewood’s award-winning food and beverage services! We offer plated and buffet options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other special meal options for those with special dietary needs. If you plan on having guests come to your event after the dinner portion, you still must pay the same per-person price for those guests as ones who will be eating. We do not allow anyone to take home leftovers for health and safety reasons.
Wedgewood would be happy to try to accommodate any special requests for your menu. If there is food that Wedgewood is unable to accommodate for traditional or cultural reasons then we can allow some foods to be brought in alongside our catering.
If you need all catering to be provided by an outside caterer, there are a few Wedgewood venues that can customize a wedding package without the food services. We would be happy to schedule a call with one of those venues to discuss the full details.
Of course! We recommend serving a special dish to vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free guests rather than designing the event menu to accommodate them. We will not charge an additional fee to prepare meals for people with special dietary needs.
Wedgewood has the liquor license and is responsible for all liquor served on the premises. For this reason we do not allow any outside alcohol. We do include a full stocked bar and bar tender with each package and we offer a variety of affordable hosted bar options that you can add onto any package. If you have a special request let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
We charge a per person price no matter when your guest arrives or leaves. We will do a head count at various times of your event to ensure the most accurate number. The pricing of the packages and services are per person and not based solely on consumption of food and beverages.
Possible liability consequences prohibit any food or beverages to be taken off the premises.
