Ben and Jessica's wedding in Illinois is one we wish we all could've attended (err, been invited to)! The sweet, little touches of family and prayer throughout their day really shows the love and character of this awesome couple. Everything from the invitations to the greenery, to Jessica's romantic wedding dress, to their donut wall has us OBSESSING over this fine wedding! We're so happy and honored to have hosted your nuptials! Congratulations you two!

Ben's Proposal:

"It was a perfect snowy, February day. It seriously was like a snow globe outside. Ben took me to the city for some brunch and walking around and then to the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. We went for a walk among the pine forest when he told me that I was his best friend, favorite person, and love of his life. He said he didn't want to ever spend a day without me. He then dropped to one knee on the path and asked me to marry him. My eyes were instantly flooded with tears and, when he asked if I liked the ring, I said I couldn't even see it!"

First Look with Dad:

"We both came from Christian homes and are Christians ourselves, so we wanted to incorporate a special time of prayer as a couple, as bridesmaids, and as groomsmen. Ben and I prayed together from around opposite sides of a corner, of course, as I wanted to keep my walk down the aisle special. I also wanted to do a first reveal to my dad; since he was the first man in my life, I wanted him to be the first man to see me."

The Perfect Look:

"I really loved the natural, outdoor look so flowers were really important to me. I loved the dusty rose color for the girls and navy looked best with those. The decorations were supposed to, again, be very natural with wood, some gold, white flowers, and lots of greenery. I wanted it to look fresh and summery."

"I had two special moments from the wedding day: the first was my dance with my dad. I had put together a slideshow of pictures of us together from growing up and had it played on the projector while we danced. It was incredible. The second was when I walked down the aisle and made eye-contact with my soon-to-be-husband. My eyes and heart were locked, and it was like no one else was there."

"I would describe our wedding-planning experience with Wedgewood Weddings to be incredible. Ashley, our coordinator, was such an efficient and thorough communicator. She was so thorough and helpful throughout the whole process. I couldn't imagine it any smoother!"
