DIY Success: Hannah & Kenny

After getting engaged, Hannah and Kenny started looking for wedding venues. Hannah always dreamed of marrying her beloved in Northern California. A friend told her about Wedgewood Weddings' venue options, and they were immediately intrigued. After a personal consultation, the couple scheduled their wedding for a beautiful blue-sky day in April.

Hannah and her sister were quite the team when it came to DIY projects. Everything looked amazing!

Hannah’s sister made the bride’s bouquet out of coral gerbera daisies wrapped with ivory ribbon.

The beautiful programs were hand made by the bridal party and matched the bridal party balloons! They also made a great prop for cute photos.

Instead of floral bouquets for the bridesmaids, Hannah chose giant coral balloons. The bridesmaids also chose their own dresses in different shades of blues.

Instead of traditional vows, Hannah played the piano and sang to Kenny. It was beautiful, unique and so memorable.

Boutonnieres made by Hannah’s sister completed the look for the groom and groomsmen.

As the guests entered the reception room, they were greeted with many more DIY touches.

Handwritten escort cards in mini vellum envelopes:

A beautifully decorated gift box surrounded by hand-made paper flowers:

A large jar full of brightly colored thin Sharpies and an artist’s sketch book were provided so guests could leave a note or draw a picture for the bride and groom.

The head table was set for the entire bridal party, and decorated with handmade paper flowers, a banner and balloons attached to the couple’s chairs.

The guest tables had terrariums made by Hannah’s sister. Inside were a mini banner and mini bride and groom made to look like Hannah and Kenny! Attached to the terrarium were navy, ivory, aqua and coral balloons with the table numbers hanging from the strings.

They chose navy napkins and folded them in a triangle. This made a small tent for the perfect little jar of honey with a dipper for guests to take home as a favor.

A beautiful cake topper was created out of one of the mini bride and grooms, a handmade banner and sliced fruit.

Hannah and Kenny had a beautiful spring DIY wedding!
