When Daniel and Ana’s original wedding venue cancelled on them three months before their big day, they were devastated and unsure of where to turn next.

“No one was available,” Daniel explained. “We called so many places and even considered having the wedding in Mexico with my wife’s family.”

Enter Wedgewood at the Tower Club! After taking one tour around the facility, which is located at the top of Ventura County’s only skyscraper, the two were convinced it was the perfect place to say “I do.”

“In no time at all, we were back on track with our plans and our future,” Daniel explains. In addition to its sweeping views of the ocean and Topa Topa Mountain range below, the venue also offers a freshly renovated reception space.

The Tower Club’s new, modern black-and-white interiors were the perfect backdrop to Daniel and Ana’s monochromatic-themed décor, which included black tablecloths, silver chargers and flatware and simple white rose-filled centerpieces. The couple also had eight black ribbon-lined cakes with understated floral accents. For the wedding favors, the couple decided to go the DIY route — making their own candy bags with treats that fit their color scheme and sweetness of their romantic setting.

Daniel and Ana’s favorite memory of their big day? Watching their guests do the traditional la víbora de la mar — a game in which the bride and groom stand on chairs to form an arch that guests run in circles under.

Despite the inconvenience of their last-minute venue switch, Daniel and Ana agreed Wedgewood at the Tower Club was the perfect place for their celebration.

“When the day came, I looked around watching my family, me new family, and my wife. I couldn’t have been happier,” he said. “Everything happens for a reason.”
